About Omega Aviation Group
The Omega Aviation Group was established to capitalise on the inefficiency of air travel left in the wake of Covid-19. Price asymmetry and a dour flying experience has precipitated the need for disruption. The aviation industry too, has faced major economic pressure, owing to volatile fuel costs and regulatory uncertainty. Route planning is adding further stress to commercial airline operators as congested skies, particularly over Europe, make new innovative entrants into the market difficult.
Omega’s structure is specifically designed to maximise cost efficiency to pass on to the millions of business and leisure flyers who are disenchanted with the friendly skies. Approximately 30-40% reduced costs across the group will allow for ticket for smaller charter aircraft, such as the DA62 and King Air, to be priced at discounted traditional commercial ticket rates. This significant cost saving is a result of maintaining our own fleet of aircraft. The Omega Aviation Group also extracts value from our own in-house flight planning software which ensures optimal fuel usage.
It is our vision to offer a new experience for travellers where convenience and cost are our competitive advantage. We offer alternative smaller airport options on popular but underutilized routes. In the short to medium term we will add our concierge service where travellers have the option to be collected.
With headquarters in the UK, our aviation business are located in South Africa with a fleet of aircraft, a flight school and a market-leading maintenance organisation. Our next phase includes a move into the lucrative European market.
It is our vision to offer a new experience for travellers where convenience and cost are our competitive advantage.
We see the industry continue to grow and evolve in response to changing technology, consumer demands, and global economic conditions. Some potential developments in the future of commercial air travel, that the Omega Aviation Group plans to capitalise on, include:
